Positive Behaviour Support.

Behaviours that communicate

We provide the right support so everyone can meet their potential.

What is Positive Behaviour Support?

We all use our behaviours to communicate things to others.  Sometimes when our needs are not met, our behaviour can be challenging or problematic for ourselves or others.  Positive Behaviour Support aims to identify your unmet needs and then assist you and your supporters to meet your needs so that you can have a better quality of life.

What does a Positive Behaviour Support practitioner do?

Our PBS specialists are experts in functional behaviour assessments, that lead to determining the correct supports that need to be in place to meet your needs.  PBS practitioners work in a holistic way to improve your quality of life.  We can assist you at home, work, school or in the community.  We work with your supporters so that everyone is on the same page to support you in the best possible way. PBS starts with an assessment which may involve us seeing you at home and in other places, and talk to you and the people who help you each day.  We then come up with a written positive behaviour support plan that details all the ways that your support should be delivered, and help you and your supports understand your needs better.  Our PBS services are delivered in a way that keeps your needs at the centre in a collaborative way
